Botox Therapeutic is a therapeutic injection treatment. It can be used for the prevention of migraines and excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis). It also helps with muscle spasms and more.

The active ingredient is a purified protein that temporarily relaxes muscle movements for 3-4 months. This neurotoxin prevents communication between nerves and muscles by blocking the signal path. Botox for cosmetics has been FDA and Health Canada approved since the early 2000’s. Botox for therapeutic has been FDA and Health Canada approved since 1989.

What is Nuceiva®?

Nuceiva is a cosmetic injection treatment. It will reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles and fine lines. This treatment is similar to Botox Cosmetic. Nuceiva has indications to treat upper facial lines only.

Who shouldn’t get neuromodulator treatments?

Individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not get neuromodulator injections. People with a known allergy to any ingredient in neuromodulator should avoid it as well. Those with certain neuromuscular disorders are also advised against it.

What to expect during a treatment?

During your consultation, our doctors will meet with you to understand your aesthetic concerns. They will create a treatment plan to maximize your aesthetic goals.

The neuromodulator is injected through fine needles in targeted areas. It addresses wrinkles and forehead lines. This procedure targets glabellar lines, which are between your eyes. It also targets crow’s feet. Lastly, it targets creases on the bridge of the nose and upper lip.

The actual procedure time is less than 15 minutes and you are able to return to most normal activity immediately.
